Possible Physiological Changes after the First NUCCA Upper Cervical Spinal Correction

Due to the nervous system responding to the structural correction, the person may experience some of the following.

  • Alleviation of symptoms
  • Tired or relaxed feeling
  • Light-headedness
  • Tingling and/or heat sensation
  • Cold-like symptoms
  • Muscle stiffness
  • Pain in the area of old injury
  • Elimination changes

In order to heal, the body must go through different cycles of repair. One should not be concerned if the pain changes or moves to another area of the body.

Recovery is indicated by: Pain reducing from a larger to a smaller area when the spinal correction restores the nerve transmission. Pain moving away from the brain (nerves recover from the brain out), and symptoms moving from place to place. During recovery, it is essential to be adjusted again if the correction does not stabilize. During and after the recovery period, regardless of the symptom, have the spine checked first. A periodic examination and spinal correction, when necessary, will prevent the effects of the misalignment from recurring.
